Brianna Scruggs is Marla’s dedicated paralegal and instrumental to the firm’s success. Brianna has been a rising star since high school, when she was recruited to enroll in a business professionalism program. This led to a work study program for a leading Philadelphia law firm, where Brianna developed a passion for justice. She subsequently worked for the Department of Public Welfare, now the Department of Human Services (DHS), where she provided legal assistance to administrative law judges and attorney examiners. Brianna gained invaluable experience with DHS, where she fulfilled DHS’s mission of providing equitable services for Pennsylvanians to promote safe, healthy, and productive lives. Brianna then moved to the private sector, working as a paralegal and office manager for several boutique worker’s compensation firms in Philadelphia and the surrounding suburbs. During this time, she began taking paralegal classes at Peirce College, developed investigative skills, and shined in her interpersonal relationships with clients, claims representatives, medical providers and opposing counsel. In her tenure with The Law Offices of Marla Joseph,LLC, Brianna has been a valuable asset, who is involved in all aspects of supporting our firm’s injured and disabled clients. She handles SSD and SSI applications and appeals, assists with all aspects of the worker’s compensation practice, and assists in managing the office. In her free time, Brianna enjoys spending time with her four children and owns a clothing boutique.
